The WU returns with an epic release
Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman, is the name of the brand new album released this past Friday by the mighty Wu-Tang Clan. Wholly produced by Wu member Mathematics, the album has the energy and lyrical power that is the signature of the Wu.
Mathematics is above and beyond on production on this project. Using the Wu-signature kung-fu samples, along with amazing boom bap drums and harmonics, the sound of this album is top notch hip hop. It is the perfect soundbed for the emcees to attack on each track and that they all do.
It is a 12-song meal of head-nodding and body-moving energy. Tons of features await you on this project, with MC's such as Kurupt, Kool G. Rap, Benny the Butcher, R.J. Payne, 38 Spesh, Willie the Kid, King Crooked and Kameron Corvet joining the Wu members on a journey of exploration and hip hop power. I sat with my wife listening to each song last night and, we both could not stop rocking out and smiling to this album.
You have to go grab this and add it to your life. It truly is an amazing piece of work and the Wu have reclaimed their seat on top of the mountain of music.
