As the world continues through this challenging moment, we are all trying to find new ways to stay connected and work together. The International Center of Photography (ICP) is finding innovative ways to inspire thier community of photographers and creatives.

Firstly, The ICP has developed a virtual experience where you can walk through the exhibit on a Virtual Tour: Experience CONTACT HIGH: A Visual History of Hip-Hop Online. Explore the exhibition through a 360-degree video HERE.

To support all the amazing educators continuing to teach remotely, our partners at United Photo Industries (as well as the great photographer Lola Flash!) developed a lesson plan based on the Contact High exhibition at Photoville called Visual Lyrics. Students will use historic and archival images to engage in topics of identity, relationships and friendships. They will analyze the role of photography in creating a historical perspective of individuals and events and discuss how technology has changed this dynamic. They will translate visual information in text and vice versa.

Educator Guide for CONTACT HIGH providing a framework for using the book and exhibition as an educator tool. It's free for all educators and downloadable HERE. Thank you UPI!
