SpaceGodRich Delivers Raw Energy on New Single "Not Con$ciou$"

SpaceGodRich, known simply as Space to those closest to him, is a music artist born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. With roots stretching into the rural scenes of South Boston, VA, and summers spent in Orlando, Florida, Space helped him develop a diverse palette. Whether he's locked into a booth session and kicking things off with a spontaneous “Space G Oh,” or building worlds from rhythm and wordplay, SpaceGodRich is deeply tapped into the art of vibe. Space refuses to be boxed in because his sound can often venture into melodic or house-infused music which gives his catalog diversity.
His influences are both a generational legacy and a personal evolution. Early on, his father's taste sculpted his appetite for Southern rap icons like T.I., Jeezy, UGK, Three 6 Mafia, and OutKast. But over time, his mother’s ear for groove-based, feel-good music—artists like The Gap Band, The Whispers, and SOS Band. These classics now inform the backbone of his sampling choices and melodic experiments. As for the current wave, Space shouts out Young Thug as a core inspiration in his approach to modern rap, while artists like Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs also influenced him. On the house side, he credits underground names like Its Murph, Texture, KoLiDe, and Qrion.
The release of his new single “Not Con$ciou$,” is produced by his brother Tae The Tyrant, Space is set to re-enter the scene with a dose of raw, unfiltered energy. The track is a prelude to his upcoming project The Equation: Space Trap Stories, a summer release that promises to be both personal and explosive. “Not Con$ciou$” captures what Space calls his “shit-talking” mode—a loose, animated studio session that doesn’t overthink, just flows. With verses often nailed in one take, then doubled and brought to life through adlibs, it’s a record that reflects the freedom and ferocity of an artist letting the beat lead.
This song was created during a turbulent time in his life and it reflects the power of music. For Space, tracks like this are more than just records; they're journal entries and creative responses to things that happen in life. Whether he's navigating drama, healing, or just talking his talk, SpaceGodRich uses his art to turn the mess into music, and the pressure into poetry.
