Sonta - Type Of Way

Singer-songwriter Sonta is dropped her alluring new single “Type of Way” on Friday, April 12th. The single will appear on Sonta’s forthcoming project Hood Love Vol. 1 which will be released this summer.

“Type of Way” challenges men to get right or get lost. “Type of Way” is, as the title suggests, a ballad that explores human emotion. The visual highlights themes of trust, commitment, and love. On the hook she sings, “Last time we talked you told me that you was on ya way. Now you called, I realized you said that yesterday. I really don’t got time to play the games you tryna play. Just tell me the truth, boy, I won’t feel no type of way.”

Viewers will instantly be captivated by Sonta’s beauty. She flexes her vocal chops in beautifully shot performance scenes expressing her frustration. Those shots are intertwined with scenes of Sonta arguing with her beau. 

“Type of Way” will entice R&B fans to learn more about Sonta. The Chicago native who describes her sound as “R&D” (rhythm & drill) made waves in 2018 with her debut project In My Feelings which has more than 15 million streams to date. Known to freely express herself, Sonta’s breakout single “You Ain’t Sh*t” gained over 1.2 million views on YouTube. Her follow up single,“Who Is She” surpassed the 5.4 million view mark.
