Slow Money BOlo, a rising music artist hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, is making waves with his distinctive blend of hip hop and southern soul. Born and raised in the heart of the Sunshine State, BOlo’s musical roots are deeply influenced by an eclectic mix of legendary artists, ranging from southern soul icons like Mel Waiters and Sir Charles to hip hop pioneers such as Run DMC, DMX, and Scarface. His sound reflects the richness of these diverse genres, with the raw emotion of Bobby Womack and the innovative energy of Wu-Tang Clan and 2 Live Crew pulsing through his tracks.

BOlo’s latest single, Nasty Man, is a testament to his creative evolution. With this song, he sought to craft a feel-good party anthem that resonates across genres. However, getting the right balance wasn’t easy. “I had to play with different flows and find that right match,” BOlo recalls. His goal was to create a track that was bold and witty, yet approachable. Initially, the song’s chorus was different, but a suggestion from his wife sparked a creative shift. “As soon as she heard the first few bars of my second verse, she stopped me and said that should be the hook,” he explains. From there, the song flowed smoothly, bringing his vision to life.

'Nasty Man' represents a unique fusion of rap and southern soul, a combination that BOlo hopes will challenge listeners’ perceptions and open their minds to a new sound. He knows he’s entering uncharted territory but remains optimistic. "I wasn't sure how I was going to be received by mixing rap with southern soul, but I'm hoping to open people's minds and ears to something different but still soulful," he says.

BOlo’s recent performance at the Elks Lodge in Lakeland, Florida, is further proof of his growing influence. With Nasty Man and his Southern Hip Hop sound, Slow Money BOlo is ready to carve out a unique space in the music industry, bridging the gap between two powerful genres.
