NARDIA Unveils Soulful New Single “Is It You”

NARDIA is an Australian music artist hailing from Melbourne, a city often called the music capital of the country. As a soulful R&B singer with deep roots in jazz and blues, NARDIA brings a powerful mix of emotion and vulnerability to her work. Her music is a fusion of genres that leans on rich storytelling, powerhouse vocals, and a contemporary edge that makes her stand out. Influenced by artists like Lianne La Havas, Emily King, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, and Carole King, NARDIA has crafted a sound that is uniquely her own.
Currently, NARDIA is working on her favorite project to date — an album titled Own Every Scar. Created between the musical hubs of Nashville and Memphis, the album is deeply influenced by the soul of these cities. Recording at Royal Studios with Grammy Award-winning producer Boo Mitchell was a highlight, and she credits the spirit of legends like Al Green and Tina Turner for shaping the album’s emotional depth. In Nashville, the careful craft of songwriting helped her fine-tune every lyric, leading to a body of work that is both personal and powerful. The album is set to be released in July.
Her latest single, Is It You, is now streaming across all platforms and receiving radio play. The song began as a soft melody that lingered in her mind before coming to life with co-writer and producer Mat Robb. Working alongside her Australian team, NARDIA built the track layer by layer, eventually allowing her voice to guide the emotional direction of the song. The biggest breakthrough came when she let go of perfection and leaned into vulnerability — the heart of what makes the song resonate so deeply. Is It You explores themes of vulnerability, desire, and uncertainty. It captures the moment of wondering whether you’re truly in love or just captivated by the idea of someone. With a haunting yet soulful soundscape, the song walks the line between fantasy and reality.
To celebrate the release of the single, NARDIA hosted a live show on April 13th at the Brunswick Ballroom in Melbourne. The evening featured support acts Mayfield and Tanya George and showcased NARDIA with a 10-piece band, complete with a horn section and stunning backing vocalists. The performance was a heartfelt and immersive night that brought her music to life in a truly unforgettable way.
