Both Mary J. Blige and Nas are 'Thriving' On New Song
Mary J. Blige and Nas are both 90s Hip hop and R&B legends in thier own individual rights, so it' sonly right that they combine forces for a joint tour this summer called The Royalty Tour.
Adding another song ahead of the jaunt, the duo has released "Thriving," their new collab that offers good vibes, self-exhaltation, and motivational lyrics. The driving track is the backgroup to Mary's verses where she sings, "Hold my crown up to the sky / Hold your crown up to the sky." She sings on the chorus, "No, we're not just surviving / Yeah, we're thriving over here," she states, clearly a personal declaration of survinving her recent trials and tribualtions regarding her messy public divorce.
Nas chimes in with his verse which detaisl his personal and professional transformation from Nasty Nas to Nasir.
The duo also collabed on 1997s "Love Is All We Need."
