Fresh Prince and DJ Jazz Jeff Reunion? Will Smith Says New Music Is In The Vault

The lovable rap duo, Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff, may be making a comeback soon.
The group won the first rap Grammy in 1989 for Best Rap Performance for "Parents Just Don't Understand," and the group amicably disbanded in the 90s. The Fesh Prince, aka Wil SMith went on to have a highl successful acting career, and Jeff found continued success in his career as a DJ. And while Smith's acting career sees no signs of slowing down anytime soon, he and Jeff are back to the music: at a press conference for his role as the genie in the live-action remake of Disney's Aladdin, Smith reveled he and Jeff have been in the studio making magic again.
"I’ve been sniffing around it,” Will told HipHopDX. “I’ve been getting hyped about it. It [has] been a minute. I’ve been full in the actor’s mind so me and Jeff start going out a little bit in the last six-to-eight months [and] we’ve been doing something. I just gotta find that lane; find that way back in. It’s a part of my heart. I love it. I make records all the time. I got a ton of stuff that I make at the house. It’s just not stuff that I’m hyped about to be able to feel comfortable letting it into the world. I’m trying to find that inspiration, that thing that sparks me to get back [to music].”
Back in October (2017), the duo teased the masses wih a new EDM-release called "Get Lit." It's assumed Will and Jeff plan on making their comeback sometime in 2018.
