August Alsina is back! If you didnt know, Alsina has been battling personal and health struggles, but the singer-songwriter is declaring his determination on “Today,” an inspirational track about the grind and getting back up. 

The song is quintessential August with hard-hitting bass and rap-sung vocals.

He croons, “Get yours, ’cause I’ma get mine’s today (Today) / I’m sure, won’t change my mind today (Today) / No choice, I gotta find a way (Today) / I’m on the grind three sixty-five, got no time to waste (Today) / And I’m gon’ run like they gon’ put me in the ground today (Today).”

"Today" follows the New Orleans-native's latest EP Forever and a Day which arrived in early 2019.
