The RECORDING ACADEMY has launched the CARES ACT HELPLINE, a service providing individualized guidance and information to RA members seeking aid through the CARES ACT. In tandem with private consultation, RA will also host weekly webinars answering more general questions that will be applicable to the larger community of music creators during the crisis.

RECORDING ACADEMY Chair and Interim Pres./CEO HARVEY MASON JR., said "We are gratified that 25,000 music professionals watched our CARES ACT webinar. But as the economic effects of the pandemic continue to devastate music creators' livelihoods, many are expressing difficulty navigating the regulatory and legal hurdles of obtaining benefits. As a next step, we will begin helping music creators one by one, initiating this unprecedented role providing individual consultations for our members and readily accessible content for the entire music community."

Each week, RECORDING ACADEMY Chief Industry, Government and Member Relations Officer DARYL FRIEDMAN, will be joined by legal representation from GREENBERG TRAURIG in a pre-recorded webinar answering several vitally requested questions with the most current information available. While individual consultation is available to RA membership at this time, all creators are welcomed and encouraged to these weekly webinars.

For more information on these weekly webinars, view FRIEDMAN’s video announcement here, and follow the RECORDING ACADEMY on FACEBOOK, TWITTER and INSTAGRAM for upcoming times and to tune in.

For RA members looking for individual consultation, the query form can be found here.
