Hymn Marley, the latest musical progeny to emerge from legendary Jamaican artist Bob Marley's family, premiered the acoustic mix of "Since You've Been Gone" with online celebrity gossip and entertainment magazine BOSSIP yesterday. The stand-alone single, released today on the young artist's own Hymntertainment label (distributed worldwide by the Marley family's Tuff Gong International), is an earthy reworking of the original version, which serves as the first single off of Hymn's upcoming EP In My Head.

The new visuals, directed by Donbi TV, depict the Miami-based vocalist lamenting over a lost love, as he wanders through a secluded forest, guitar in hand. Of the decision to release the acoustic version of "Since You've Been Gone," Hymn offered "the concept of the video was just like the song -- being in a space where it's you and your thoughts -- that one on one we all have with ourselves from time to time." The promising talent is clearly blazing a unique trail as he prepares his debut EP for release.

Hymn is the grandson of musical icons Bob and Rita Marley, and the son of multi-Grammy winner Stephen Marley. Born in Jamaica, Hymn now calls Miami his home.
