SVMI funks it up on his latest banger P.O.P (Hold It Down)
SVMI's latest P.O.P. (Hold It Down) speaks to our desire to get out of the crib and just chill around town. The funky cut has the all the elements needed to be the soundtrack for our post-pandemic world. The track fuses two sounds that are always right on time when its time to party, funk and hip-hop.
SVMI spits his bars in a smooth, laid back style that overlays a bouncing bass line that would be right at home on some funk track from the 1970s. The video for P.O.P. (Hold It Down) is a celebration of freedom as SVMI and his crew toast it up and have a non-socially distant good time.
SVMI said that inspiration for the song and video come from his desire to go on what he calls a spotaneous 'baecation' with someone new. The video itself has a 'day in the life feel' of a man doing things that we used to take for granted and will hopefully be enjoying and appreciating very soon.
