Sevyn Streeter Returns With New Single and Video ‘Whatchusay’

Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter is back with her new single titled “Whatchusay.”

The bold record sees Streeter confronting an uneven exchange of efforts from a love interest. 

Speaking on the track, Streeter explains, “‘Whatchusay’ is what happens when holding somebody down becomes an uneven exchange, when your limit has reached its limit, when your self-love overpowers your ability to stay in a toxic space…THEN, your raw emotions make room for you to speak your TRUTH…even if it ain’t pretty.”

“How you gon’ act like I wasn’t in the basement countin’ up with you /  How you gon’ act like I wasn’t in the kitchen cookin’ up for you,” she sings. 

The video sees Streeter in fierce mode as she contronts her love interst who's tied up to a lie detector test as she imparts some energetic choreography. 

“Whatchusay” is the first single from Streeter’s upcoming album, Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz, which is slated to release in 2020 via Groundwērk/Entertainment One (eOne). The LP will follow her debut album, Girl Disrupted, which dropped in 2017.
