Rising Seattle Based Artist Highway Drops New Single and Video For "on dat shit"

Seattle's emerging rapper and artist Highway has recently unveiled his latest single and music video entitled "on dat shit," released under Victor Victor Worldwide/Geffen Records. The track serves as an ode to his lavish lifestyle and is now available for streaming and viewing. 

“on dat shit” is the third track from his upcoming Monochrome project set to release May 5th. The video illuminates the raw and candid experiences of the 24 year-old’s journey towards an affluent lifestyle. The accompanying music video, directed by @noahsocold, features Highway amidst Seattle's famous landmarks and cityscape, with a monochromatic theme that ties together his previous audiovisual releases. The visuals complement the song's luxurious aesthetic, showcasing Highway's versatility as a creative and capturing the track's essence while taking the audience on a journey through the city's streets. The single is Highway's follow-up to “Jet,” a sleek and sensual anthem released in February that showcased his dynamic delivery as well as his 2022 EP Livin Like That. Highway sees himself as a bridge between worlds. The 23-year-old MC from Seattle, born Mekhi Rogers, is an extraordinary rapper with an inherent sense of melody that reverberates in every bar he spits. He wants to show the hidden links between seemingly unrelated lineages, like the similarities he finds in the downcast grunge movement from his hometown in the '90s and the narcotized rap that took over Atlanta in the mid-2010s. He's been at these ambitious goals since he first began producing and writing songs at 17. Though his rapping came later, the malleable rising star's recent string of singles show he can do a little bit of everything-and that he does it all extremely well.
