Tensions ran high this morning on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club when DJ Envy left the interview after confronting guests Desus and Mero about a comment they made about his wife last month.

It all began when DJ Envy and his wife Gia Casey went on daytime talk show The Real to discuss his cheating scandal. “I was Raashaun at home but on the streets, I was DJ Envy,” the DJ told the hosts of The Real. “I didn’t know DJ Envy," his wife followed.

Desus and Mero discussed the TV appearance on their late night, self-titled, show on Viceland. On the Feb. 15th episode, Desus added, “But you knew them DJ Envy checks though," implying Envy's wife is a golddigger.

Fast forward to this morning: as soon as the interview started, Envy said, “We’re gonna start with this. You owe my wife an apology....my wife has known me since 15, before I had a dollar. She’s making more money than me. So to insinuate that she was there for a check or she was good with Envy’s check, is a disrespect to me and her.”

After playing the clip for D and M, who at first didn't recall the comment, the Bronx duo asserted that it was a joke, and apologized. But Envy wasn't having it and eventually left the studio to allow Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God to continue the interview without him.

The whole interaction happens in the first few minutes of the clip below. Was Envy overreacting, or was he being a good, protective husband?
