Tech giant, ICON, has developed a method for creating a single-story 650-square-foot house in as few as 12 hours and for as little as $4000.

Using an advanced Vulcan 3D-printer, the company can assemble a concrete home in a fraction of the time it would take to construct traditionally. With this technology, ICON believes it can presently produce a house for $10,000 but estimates it can lower the cost to $4000.

To test the technology, ICON intends to collaborate with charity organizations to print 100 homes for impoverished residents in El Salvador. If the test goes as planned, it could highlight the possibility of resolving problems of homelessness in America and around the globe.
