New Single “Thinking” by Nardia Delivers Smooth Soulful Grooves
Nardia is a soulful R&B artist from Australia who is making a strong impact with her emotional storytelling and powerful vocals. Blending R&B, jazz, soul, and blues, she creates music that feels honest and timeless. She’s inspired by artists such as Lianne La Havas, Emily King, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, and Carole King. Her latest single, “Thinking”, released on May 8, 2026, follows the success of her previous release, “Is It You” which went to number 1 on the Urban Influencer charts. The song explores desire, distance, and the emotions tied to a connection that continues long after a moment has passed. Built around smooth instrumentation and soulful grooves, “Thinking” blends classic R&B influences with a fresh contemporary sound. The live recording gives the track a raw and natural feel for the listeners.
Nardia shared that the song was inspired by a real connection formed across continents. She explained that it reflects the feeling of wondering if someone is still thinking about you even when you are far apart. The creative process behind the single was shaped by her time in Memphis after competing in the International Blues Challenge, where her band placed in the Top 5. That experience left her feeling proud, reflective, and emotions that naturally found their way into the music. Unlike some of her earlier releases, “Thinking” began with the groove and melody first. Working with Nashville producer Darin James from Stinger Boy Entertainment, Nardia connected deeply with the sound before writing the lyrics. She said the music guided the story and allowed the emotions to come through naturally.
The single will appear on her upcoming album, “Own Every Scar", which is set for release in August 2026. The project was created between Australia, Nashville, and Memphis. Nardia recorded with Grammy Award winning producer Boo Mitchell at Royal Studios along with Choi Productions in Australia. The song, “Thinking” is now streaming on all major platforms and receiving radio support worldwide.
