Mark Hamill Finally Earns Star on Walk of Fame

With multiple dogs and cartoon characters boasting stars on Hollywood’s famous Walk of Fame, it is hard to imagine that the famous actor known for portraying Luke Skywalker did not. However, until March of 2018, that was the case.

On March 8, Hamill received his star at a glamorous ceremony also attended by Star Wars director and creator, George Lucas and co-star, Harrison Ford. Star Wars characters in costume including Chewbacca and R2-D2 also made appearances.

“Words truly fail me. It’s hard to convey my gratitude, my joy, the exhilaration of being recognized this way. I haven’t been this speechless since the ‘Force Awakens’,” Hamill said.
