Marie Dahlstrøm - Ask About Me

Singer/songwriter Marie Dahlstrøm returns with her latest single "Ask About Me," the first track to be taken from her latest EP, due for release this summer. This time round we see the London-based, Danish artist embrace a more RnB approach, combining layered vocals and a more synth heavy production with some clever live instrumentation, acoustic guitar stabs, live drum hits and trademark electric piano flourishes.

The production comes courtesy of New York producer JNTHN STEIN , who has delivered a future leaning track which retains a deeply rich and organic feel, showcasing Marie’s natural vocal abilities. The pair travelled to sunny Corsica for the session, meaning they could get away from any distractions and focus solely on recording. With honesty always at the core of her lyrical approach, Marie explains:

“Ask About Me is a song about self-worth and empowering. A song about realising that even after hard times, there is so much to be grateful for. Time truly is a healer of most things.”

Hailing from the Roskilde, Denmark (famed for the music festival), Marie has fast become known for an output of beautifully crafted Jazz flavoured RnB. Drawing on influences from Nordic Jazz to WSTRN, her eclectic take on the genre has won her fans across the globe.

2017’s ‘Nine’ EP was championed widely with tracks such as ‘anymore.’ and ‘Where The Flowers Grow’ gaining support from The Line Of Best Fit and Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlists. Previous EP ‘O.O’ (also released in 2017) spawned the Tom Misch produced single, 'One More Reason' which was many people’s first introduction to Marie, as it (and other tracks from the EP) went on to gain support from Billboard, Nylon, and Wonderland.
