Ma$e Returns With “Rap Rushmore" Ft. Diddy and DJ Khaled
Following his rap battle with with Cam’ron, Ma$e unleashes his lukewarm collab “Rap Rushmore" with DJ Khaled and his longtime collaborator/mentor, Puff Daddy.
The buzz single sees Diddy supporting in the background and Mase offering up braggadocious rhymes. “Clothes from different countries, feeling like Pilgrims / Ni**a tried to get in my way, but somehow, I still win," the Harlem rapper flows. DJ Khaled also adds his adlibbed support: “Some people are legendary and some people iconic,” he says. “We know the difference!”
Mase says he wants to be apart the rap greats, hence the song's title. According to Rap-Up, back in April, Mase said, "I want to be mentioned in the list of the greats, when they talk about Nas, JAY-Z, Biggie, or ‘Pac. I feel like I’m supposed to be in that group.”
