Madonna Teases Collaboration with Mirwais

Since the beginning of 2018, Madonna has been working on her fourteenth studio album and posting periodic updates to Twitter and Instagram. Her posts have been mostly vague about the forthcoming album — until now.
 
The superstar posted a video of herself singing to an unknown song and tagging French record producer and songwriter, Mirwais. The video was captioned, “Having fun in the studio between takes.”
 
Although the name Mirwais might not mean much to some people, Mirwais notably worked on a number of Madonna’s songs for the 2000 album, “Music.” Mirwais also co-produced the entire “American Life” album in 2003 and co-wrote “Future Lovers” in 2005.
 
While Madonna did not officially announce a collaboration with Mirwais, if the two are, in fact, working together, it could indicate a return to an earlier sound the public has not heard from Madonna in years.
