The song first came together over a New Orleans bounce beat produced by Cris Siege. Later, while working on a new project with South Carolina producer Ablaze Da Architek, Jimmy heard a beat that instantly felt perfect for the record. After recording his vocals, he felt the song needed a female feature, so he reached out to Bella Blaq to complete the track. Once her vocals were added, engineer KP helped bring everything together and finalize the record.
