Jeezy Heralds Collab With Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole On "American Dream"
Fans have been wanting a new Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole collab for a while, and now they're getting it...by way of Jeezy.
From Jeezy's new album, Pressure (due out tomorrow Dec. 15), the rapper has enlisted Lamar and Cole for his new song “American Dream.” The trap track samples ecclectic crooner Bilal courtesy of Toronto producer SoundSmith or a soulful.
“My president was black, now my president is wack / I’m never goin’ broke, what’s American than that?” Jeezy raps, and Kendrick offers his gritty bars. But the talk of the track is Cole, who lays down some heat.
"Hysterical screams, coming from mothers that buried their kings / Or the unbearable pain of watching them walk out with the sheriff in chains / Becoming a number, they no longer care bout the name."
