JAY-Z, Travis Scott, De La Soul, 2Pac, and 50 Cent are among the rap titans whose songs get "Unwrapped" on By Popular Demand, which is now available worldwide. The 14-track collection from Hidden Beach Recordings features new hip-hop jazz versions of JAY-Z's "The Story Of O.J." and Travis Scott's double platinum single "Pick Up The Phone."

Energetic interpretations of such classic rap tracks as 50 Cent's "21 Questions," De La Soul's "Stakes Is High," 2Pac's "I Get Around," DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince's "Summertime," and LL Cool J's "Loungin (Who Do Ya Luv)" are also among the 14 tracks featured on By Popular Demand.  

"We're excited to rollout the next wave of Unwrapped material with our versions of JAY-Z's 'The Story Of O.J.' and Travis Scott's 'Pick Up The Phone,'" says Steve McKeever, founder of Hidden Beach Recordings, which releases the Unwrapped series of albums. "These are two of the most significant songs of the last few years and we thought they deserved to get our signature Unwrapped hip-hop jazz treatment. In fact, the first take brilliance of newcomer trumpet player Thomas Barber on 'The Story Of O.J.' is exactly the sort of improvisational artistry that is showcased in the best of both rap and jazz."

The Unwrapped versions of JAY-Z's "The Story Of O.J." and Travis Scott's "Pick Up The Phone" are also the first releases from Hidden Beach Recordings Presents: Unwrapped Vol. 8: The Chicago Sessions, which is set to arrive May 24, 2019. The other 12 tracks featured on By Popular Demand have been featured on the first seven editions of the Unwrapped series of albums. Selections from the first seven Unwrapped albums have been streamed millions of times.

The Unwrapped Caviar Spotify playlist features 14 Unwrapped versions and 14 original versions of such smash hits as Lil' Kim's "Crush On You" and OutKast's "Ms. Jackson."
