Janelle Monáe Announces New Album 'Dirty Computer'

Janelle Monae took a break from music to expand her her acting career for roles in films such as Rio 2, Moonlight, and Hidden Figures -- her last album Electric Lady was released in 2013. 

Now the soulful songstress is back to the music with an upcoming new album called Dirty Computer. For the album, Monáe posted a cinematic trailer, which together is described as an “emotion picture” (definition): a narrative film and accompanying musical album,” Monáe’s YouTube description explains.

The trailer features an appearance from actress Tessa Thompson, and, with all its ecclectic, futuristic, whimsy, is somewhat difficult to describe.
