It's all about Wohdee on Vain

We've spent the better part of five decades trying to figure out just who Carly Simon was referring to in that 1970s pop classic "You're So Vain." However on her new jam "Vain," Wohdee, a Birmingham, England native who is a newcomer in the studio but a veteran when it comes to spitting bars, wants you to know that this joint is all about her.

No fake modesty when the topic turns to her gorgeousness for Wohdee. She embracess it from the get go with rapid fire flow that showcases her verbal agility and abliity to turn, twist and flip a phrase.

"Nothing's wrong with a little vanity/I'm sure if you belonged in a gallery/YOu'd be backing me."

"Vain" is the kind of song and video you want playing in the background as you prepare for that post pandemic night on the town. The world is opening up, you're beautiful and it's time for everbody to see. The concept for the track came from her sister as the two sat in the studio and Wohdee was triyng to figure out what bars to match with beat she had just heard.

"I asked my sister and she said write about being vain (because I am). The ideas flew straight to my head after that, and making the song was quite easy. Wohdee originally thought that "Vain" was some good time music - not too deep. Something for the dance floor. But upon further reflection, she now views the cut as a anthem of affirmation.

"Sometimes I have to remind myself of who I am, and the song reiterates it. I hope ‘Vain’ makes people feel good about themselves while listening to it. I want it to boost a lot of egos and gas a lot of heads”.
