Chicago rapper Vic Mensa dressed up as the late Prince on Halloween, but the admiration goes far beyond a costume.

Vic said he would be down to play the Purple One in a biopic, if there were ever to be one. In an interview with Montreality, Vic revealed “I think I should play Prince in the biopic,” he said. “Prince is one of my biggest idols of all time, and he’s the real King of Pop. Some people will be mad that I said that.”

He continued on, saying he has the chops to play such an amitious role becase of his "smoothness." “The reason why I’d be able to kill the role as Prince is because I got that mouthpiece,” he added. “Prince was butter smooth with it and I feel like I could do it.”

In support of his debut album The Autobiography, Mensa is currently on the “4:44 Tour” with Jigga. The trek is set to continue through Dec. 21 in Los Angeles.
