Roi “Chip” Anthony, also professionally known as Roi Anthony, is a talented artist from a small town in South Louisiana called The Village of Loreauville. The town has a population of about 1,000 residents and is known for farming crops like sugarcane, okra, and pepper. His genre of music is called Feel Good “SOUL”, a blend of R&B, Blues, Inspirational, and Southern Soul music. Roi describes it as the new wave of music that he calls “Feel Good Music,” perfect for the cookout or BBQ playlist. Roi has been influenced by many great artists. As a songwriter and producer, he draws inspiration from Babyface, Teddy Riley, Quincy Jones, Keith Sweat, Kirk Franklin, and Marvin Gaye. Their creativity and production styles helped shape his musical approach. As a singer and performer, Roi looks up to the voices and artistry of Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, D’Angelo, R. Kelly, and Lauryn Hill, all of whom influence his soulful sound and stage presence.
His latest single, “I Love Myself,” is a feel-good song that promotes self-love, motivation, and confidence. Roi believes music should inspire and uplift people, and this song carries a timeless message that encourages listeners to value themselves. When creating “I Love Myself,” Roi was inspired by the challenges people face in today’s world. From mental health struggles to self-worth, he wanted to remind listeners of their power and purpose.
