E.Z Patterson Releases New Single "Let's Get Back Together"

Estus Patterson, known to many as E.Z. Patterson first began music as one half of The Patterson Twins alongside his brother Lester. Born and raised in Magee, Mississippi, by his beloved grandmother Eula Thompson, Patterson’s foundation of faith and family gave him the strength to pursue a lifelong journey in music. The Patterson Twins began their career after leaving the gospel group The Southern Sons, going on to record for labels such as King, Ronn, and Malaco. In 1972, they released their debut 45 under the name Soul Twins with Big Beat Records, though the release carried a unique twist—sharing the same 1287 catalog number as a Vicki Williams 45 in the label’s discography. At the time, the brothers were based in Erie, Pennsylvania, where they toured extensively with The Years People Band.
In later years, Patterson relocated to Palmdale, California, where he continued his career as a solo artist with Kon-Kord Records, a California-based label. His recent work highlights his evolution as both a man of faith and an artist. One track, co-written with Robert Youngblood and produced with Duane “Rusty” Jackson. Through every step of his career, Patterson has believed in giving praise to his Lord and Savior, Jesus.
His music today often reflects on life, love, and faith. One of his most heartfelt inspirations comes from the memory of first love—a feeling that never truly leaves. Patterson has expressed that if he could relive those moments, he would simply say, “Let’s get back together.” Through his songs, he continues to deliver messages of love, faith, and timeless soul, leaving an indelible mark on the legacy of American music.
