Tens of millions of people, especially young people, suffer from a range of eating disorders including anorexia and bulimia. Although eating disorders have long been known to plague Hollywood celebrities, some entertainers are now more actively discussing their struggles.

In his autobiography, singer Zayn Malik revealed that he would go days without eating and used eating as a way to practice self-control. He has since taken back control of his health and is trying to educate people on the risk of living unhealthy lifestyles.

Former "Pretty Little Liars" star, Troian Bellisario, has revealed that she has struggled extensively with anorexia and has shared her story in an attempt to raise awareness to the importance of mental health.

Pop superstar, Kesha, revealed that she almost died from an eating disorder but now supports people in working with their personal eating challenges.

Other celebrities campaigning to raise awareness include Gabourey Sidibe, Demi Lovato, Lily Collins, and Lady Gaga.
