Former Governor of California and popular actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger recently underwent heart surgery to have a pulmonic valve replaced. He is now in stable condition.

Schwarzenegger previously had the valve replaced in 1997 due to a congenital heart defect, but the valve was never intended to be permanent. It had already outlived its life expectancy when the politician and actor decided to have it replaced.

Daniel Ketchell, Schwarzenegger’s spokesperson, has said that the governor is recovering and in “good spirits.” He also said that Schwarzenegger’s first words were “I’m back,” a play on the famous “I’ll be back” line from the Terminator franchise.
